The Wargame Company is proud to be the first paintball site in Devon and Cornwall to offer its clientele this fantastic new sport. The laser combat games are run safely in conjunction with our existing paintball games making use of some of the amazing scenarios we have on site.
Experience a live gaming challenge. You've played your favourite first person shooter, now pull yourself away from your computer and have all the fun of a multiplayer computer game with the chance to get some fresh air as well.
Teamwork is what this is all about as scoring is done by team objectives gained rather than an individual building up points which you get in indoor lasertag.
The beauty of woodland laser combat is that:
- There are no projectiles being fired at you..........an eye safe infra red beam is used.
Unlike paintball you do not need to wear eye or face protection and you do not get bruised when "shot" by another player. The only difference between you and a soldier on an exercise is he/she wears more sensors and has a real weapon firing a blank round at the same time as firing the infra red beam.
- There is no charge for ammo........
You do not have to hold back on pulling that trigger for fear of running up a large bill........ Great news for parents!
- You have multiple lives........
You get more than one life per game. Depending on the mission, you are given a number of lives as well as the chance of being respawned in others. Sound familiar multiplayers?
- The laser guns are accurate at long range (100m)....
If you can see them you can shoot them.
- Hits are instant......
No disputes about whether you have been hit or not. When your laser gun sensors are hit by the beam your laser gun lets out a loud arghh!! Letting you and everybody around know you are hit.
- You are so much more aware of your surroundings....
Because you do not need a mask and hood for safety you can hear and see more than paintball players can. No Goggles covered in paint or steaming up.......brilliant!!!!
You will be playing at the Wargame Company paintball site near Tavistock.
Being set in a 120 acre wood gives us the scope to play in a wide variety of terrain ranging from built up areas to "Jungle" for good sneaky beaky games.
As well as playing in some of the paintball game areas like the fort and the village we have started creating new areas purely for the laser combat games.
The missions are varied and exciting with the action intense. Due to the 100 metre range of the laser guns some paintball game areas have proved too much of a sniper's paradise.
